Description
The San Pedro Pachanoi cactus seems to have the longest history of use and is the most popular species. The San Pedro Pachanoi cactus is the easiest to handle because it has very small spines. The potency of this cactus is lower than the rest of the herbs in this cactus family, resulting in a lower concentration of mescaline. Still, this cactus species grows at an astonishing rate and provides much more plant body than any other Trichocereus species. Trichocereus pachanoi also seems to grow thicker than the Trichocereus bridgesii cactus.
Use case
For a full trip take about 350-500 mg of mescaline, a portion about 25 cm long and 8 cm wide to get this dose. The full peak of the trip begins about 2-4 hours after consuming the cactus and gradually decreases over the next 8-12 hours. Mescaline is a strong psychedelic and has an effect similar to LSD, it alters the perception of self-existence and reality, increases suggestibility and intensifies emotions. The first hour of the trip most people experience some kind of physical distress, nausea, discomfort, feeling of fullness in the stomach, sweating with chills, these symptoms can last 1-2 hours, once this initial stage is over you enter a nirvana a feeling of calm and acceptance.
How to grow
This cactus is one of the easiest cacti to grow because it can withstand harsh conditions even when the temperature is below 0 degrees.
They can handle a lot of rain and in turn seem to be quite resistant to most insect pests. This cactus also grows very quickly, reaching four to six inches in just three years. Use a grow box.
Fill plastic containers (5 cm) with sterilized soil, place the seeds in the soil and press lightly. Place the containers in a layer of boiled water and wait until the soil surface is moist. Take out the pots and cover them with plastic wrap. The optimum temperature in this phase is between 18 ° C and 23 ° C. After a few days to weeks, green baby cactus will appear. After about four weeks, you can start hardening.
Pierce 2 holes in the foil and then every day. You can remove the plastic foil when the indoor atmosphere is the same as outside. Water with boiled water or rainwater, not too dry, but not too much water. After a year you can repot them, be careful with the taproot. If the cactus turns yellow, it means it needs more light; if the cactus tends to turn red, it needs less water.
